Access to the "Shooting Ground of Pyrgetos" is easy both from Athens and Thessaloniki, since the journey is totally made on the national road.
By car:
From Athens: Coming out of the Tempi Valley in 2,5 kilimetres you find the toll post of Pyrgetos, you slow down and before the Toll of Pyrgetos you leave the national road and enter the deviation. In the next 2,5 kilometres you turn right at the point of the informative road sign of "Shooting Ground of Pyrgetos" and you follow the country road of 3 klm that leads to the Shooting Ground.
From Thessaloniki: After passing the crossroad of Platamon and Nei Pori you find yourselves on the border of the Prefecture of Larissa. You can leave the national road, following the side road (parallel to the national road) and in 1,5klm you reach the crossroad of Pyrgetos. Follow the road to Pyrgetos until you find the informative road sign of "Shooting Ground of Pyrgetos" which shows you to turn right. After a 3 klm country road you reach the "Shooting Ground".
Alternative route through Aegani: Coming from Thessaloniki, after Platamon, where there is a highroad, you turn right following the informative road sign towards the country road Kato Aegani- Kastri Loutro. You passthrough the settlement of Kato Aegani and on the way- out of the village you will find the road sign for the route that leads to the "Shooting Ground of Pyrgetos".
By Bus: From Athens you come to Larissa on an intercity bus and then you reach Pyrgetos by intercity bus again (in 40 klm). From Thessaloniki you use the intercity bus of Larissa, asking for a stop at the area of Rapsani. In both cases you go to "Shooting Ground of Pyrgetos".
By taxi: taxi tel numbers: 6944 690247, 6932 621725.
By train: By train (OSE- railway organisation of Greece) you get off the Railway station of Rapsani and then you go to the Shooting Ground by taxi (taxi tel numbers: 6944 690247, 6932 621725).
By Plane: Visitors from abroad can reach Greece by plane through the International Airport of Macedonia (SKG) in Thessaloniki or through the International Airport of Athens "Eleftherios Venizelos" (ATH) and then come to the "Shooting Ground of Pyrgetos" folowing the journeys mentioned above.
